Lt. Dennis Allen is the very definition of a great leader. His heart for the community he serves and the people he works with is unmatched.
Fair, but firm, helps any and everybody that comes in his path. When he has to correct those under his leadership, he takes you to the side and he talks to you about what you did wrong but he explains to you WHY it was wrong yet his tone is NEVER condescending when he has those talks. It’s a tone of understanding and never ever judgmental. It’s been a blessing to work with him for almost 20 years!

I was fortunate to serve under and work alongside Dennis Allen. As my supervisor he was always willing to go the extra mile for his subordinates and eager to offer advice. He would never miss a chance to confidently offer guidance and a sympathetic shoulder for issues that would routinely come up in that line of work. I valued his opinion and he always seemed to have your back no matter the circumstances.
I learned quite a lot under his leadership and am all the better for it. I count him as a good friend and a trusted source for leadership and a prime example of great character and integrity. I believe his record will show and reflect his drive and commitment to this county.
